Southern Rock combined blues, boogie, country, soul and Western swing with rock and roll and arguably helped revitalize the rock music genre in the early 70’s. All of these groups shared southern geography and groove, but their individual styles were all their own. Each bringing their own ingredients to the Southern stew. We are bringing in some great special guests adding to our own “stew” to play songs from Southern Rock groups like the Allman Brothers, 38 Special, Molly Hatchet, Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, Charlie Daniels and Lynyrd Skynyrd. We’re also also taking a slight turn and going deeper down the Blues Rock road, a sound that was made popular by groups like the Yardbirds and The Rolling Stones who put several older, but edgier blues songs on the charts and kept growing with Ten Years After, Janis Joplin, Cream and Jimi Hendrix. Continuing into the 70’s and 80’s with Aerosmith, ZZ Top, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. Get ready to get your groove on and your soul moved by Southern Rock and Blues Rock from the Fabulous Armadillos.
